At Craftedwycandle, we take pride in manufacturing high-quality blinds and curtains. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This Return Policy explains your rights and our procedures regarding returns and refunds.

Return Period

For faulty products or products that do not match agreed specifications, you must notify us within 7 days of delivery. This notification period is in addition to your legal rights under consumer protection legislation.

Under UK consumer law, you have the right to reject faulty goods and receive a full refund within 30 days of purchase, or you may request a repair or replacement. However, due to the custom-made nature of our products, different rules apply to items that are not faulty.

Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return, products must meet the following conditions:

  • The product must be faulty, damaged, or not match your agreed specifications due to our error
  • The product must be in its original condition with all components and packaging
  • You must provide proof of purchase (order number or receipt)
  • You must contact us within the specified time period
  • The fault or error must not be due to misuse, improper installation, or damage caused by you

Custom-made products that are not faulty cannot be returned unless there is an error on our part.

Return Shipping Costs

Return shipping costs are handled as follows:

  • Faulty products or our errors: We will cover the cost of return shipping
  • Customer errors or change of mind: You are responsible for return shipping costs
  • Large items: We may arrange collection for large or heavy items, or provide specific return instructions

We recommend using a tracked shipping service when returning items. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping unless we arrange the return ourselves.

Custom Made Products

Please note that all our blinds and curtains are made to measure according to your specific requirements. Due to the custom nature of our products, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds on made-to-measure items unless they are faulty or do not match your agreed specifications.

Faulty Products

If you receive a product that is faulty or damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange for an inspection and, if the fault is confirmed, we will offer a replacement, repair, or refund at our discretion.

To report a faulty product, please provide your order number, a description of the fault, and photographs showing the issue clearly.

Incorrect Specifications

If the product you receive does not match your agreed specifications due to an error on our part, we will manufacture a replacement at no additional cost. This applies to errors in measurements, fabric selection, or other specifications that we confirmed in your order.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are generally not returnable unless they are faulty:

  • Custom-made blinds and curtains made to your specific measurements
  • Products that have been installed and are functioning correctly
  • Items that have been damaged due to misuse, improper installation, or normal wear and tear
  • Products returned after the specified return period has expired
  • Items that have been altered or modified by you

Customer Measurement Errors

If products do not fit due to incorrect measurements provided by you, we cannot offer a refund. However, we may be able to offer a remake at a reduced cost. We strongly recommend using our professional measuring service to ensure accurate dimensions.

General Legal Requirements

As a UK business, we comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Your legal rights include:

  • Right to reject: You can reject faulty goods within 30 days and get a full refund
  • Right to repair or replacement: We must repair or replace faulty goods within a reasonable time
  • Right to price reduction: You may be entitled to a price reduction if repair or replacement is not possible
  • Quality guarantee: Products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and match their description

These rights apply in addition to any warranty or guarantee we provide and cannot be excluded or limited.

Order Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your order under the following circumstances:

  • Before manufacturing begins: You may cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it for a full refund, provided manufacturing has not yet commenced
  • After manufacturing starts: Once production has started, cancellations cannot be accepted due to the custom nature of the work, unless the product is faulty
  • Distance selling: If you purchased online or by phone without seeing the product, you may have additional cancellation rights under distance selling regulations

Products must be returned in their original condition with all components and packaging. We recommend using a tracked shipping service.

Refund Procedure

Approved refunds will be processed as follows:

  • Processing time: Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of receiving the returned product and confirming it meets return conditions
  • Refund method: Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase
  • Refund amount: The full purchase price will be refunded, including applicable shipping costs if the return is due to our error or a faulty product

Warranty

All our blinds and curtains come with a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, misuse, or normal wear and tear.
